Loved this review. Having read American Prometheus and not having read any Isaacson biography I think I perceived Oppenheimer, the man, the science, and the politics together in a nonlinear manner in the book. It was a good preview before the movie.

Thanks so much for your kind words. I agree heartily with you that "American Prometheus" and the movie "Oppenheimer" rewardingly complement one another. In either order, a reader/viewer is better off having experienced both.

Although I would like to add that the constant hammering of the wartime paranoia about communism in the text jaded me.

Thanks very much. I don't know if you're like me, but I can't exactly "place" or "rank" the movie "Oppenheimer" yet, but I think it's important. Just how and why it's important I'm still pondering and will be for a while. It's certainly staying with me. I very much appreciate your interest.

Dearest Pat, I haven't forgotten you for a moment from those many years ago. You and Duke! Your voicemail ages ago got lost when I bought a new phone. I can't leave my phone number here, where it can be seen, but I believe you have it. Please telephone. I don't keep my phone on a lot, so if you leave a voicemail, I'll get back to you. If you don't have my number, let me know. Meanwhile, my email for MovieStruck is lotsoftechnique@gmail.com. You can write me at that email address right away. Would love to reconnect with you. And thank you so much for reading me.
