I would like for you to look at the numbers from the $3/seat Saturday and comment on where you think the industry is heading? Did this marketing tactic show more foot traffic at the theatres or was it just a passing fad. $3/seat, they (Movie Theatre industry) must be losing tremendously. Every seat, every theatre? Come on man!
They said the next big movie push will be late October maybe early November. It's going to be chilly inside the theatres between now and then. What is missing? People would run to the movies to chase away their troubles.
So, if streaming will be the way to go.......then who's on top in your book (for streaming movies)? Streaming the best movies.
In my region of the country, they are charging $2.99 to stream Top Gun (1986). Come on man! Talk about wringing the towel one more time? I'll just wait until it is on regular FX and just fast forward through the commercials.
Enjoy the weekend my friend.
